Nightmare doodle dump! :) I always had a hard time consistently drawing her because I couldn’t figure out what age I wanted her. I decided she’ll be an itty bitty kitty at first!
After drawing sea bear, I got thinking about my old Spongebob fan character I created when I was a kid. Her name is Crawley and she’s a sea otter!
My parents told me what a “waterbear” was and I thought it looked cute, creepy, and a little stupid, so here’s a fatass waterbear craving a burger. Microscopic burger or giant waterbear, you decide.
Plus a Sea Bear from Spongebob for good measure.
Fl’arara’s meat snack!
Fun fact about her: she only eats carrion, she refuses to take a life and would rather die of starvation before she does. When Fl’arara was younger she tried to avoid eating meat altogether, but regardless of one’s principles you can’t cheat nature, and as a result, she almost died. Finding a sustainable and peaceful way to live was a huge struggle in her life, a path that has literally isolated her from her clan.
You will find out a little more about Fl’arara in my upcoming comic, Sunrise and Windfall! I don’t have a release date chosen yet.
Wow! It’s cool my work can elicit an emotional response! Sometime I’ll have to figure out how that particular story thread ends. Thanks!
Starting my own fun. Put any number in my ask box and I will answer them!
- What is the weirdest thing you own
- Have you ever played with a Ouija Board
- Do you believe in ghosts/spirits
- Do you still trick-or-treat
- Have you ever had a black cat cross you, and…
Send me Asks and I will draw my answers! :)
The dangers and woes of compartmentalizing one’s own life.
Little doodle with digital embellishments.
Just a little piece as a companion to the contest illustration for Robo-Shark- I showed how I altered his character to fit into my universe with my characters. My art style is toonier than typical anthro artwork, so it took a bit of figuring out to decide how to draw him in a way that didn’t look out of place with my dudes. :) A fun challenge!
"Remember that time Sundae fell into the bay?"
Contest piece for Robo-Shark! Jay teaching some fishing skills to my characters Sundae and Liana. You kind of need opposable thumbs for this, Sundae- sorry!
The scene was heavily referenced off a photo I took while waiting for the boat to Alcatraz. Whenever I go places anymore, I try to imagine my characters hanging out there and take pictures for ideas. :)
